The Voice of Science: Innovations That Change the World

On April 22, 2025, a comprehensive seminar-meeting titled “The Voice of Science: Innovations That Change the World” was held at Secondary School No. 87 named after Abdrash Nazarbekov, under the jurisdiction of the Department of Education of Shymkent. The event aimed to foster students’ interest in science. Senior students of grades 10–11 and teachers participated in the large-scale event, gaining exposure to new and inspiring ideas.
Esteemed scientists and lecturers from the Higher School of Information Technology and Energy at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University were specially invited to share their scientific expertise. Notably, the following members of the university's academic staff contributed insightful presentations:
  • Iztaev Zhalgasbek Dulatuly – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Modeling;

  • Akhmetova Sabira Tastankyzy – Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Software;

  • Zhumatayev Nurlybek Sraiyluly – PhD, Associate Professor;

  • Zhusupbekova Gulzat Turysbekkyzy – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies;

  • Nurmagambet Sayan Doszhanuly – Deputy Dean for Educational Work and Social Affairs.

During the meeting, the scholars discussed scientific research, achievements, and current issues in the fields of mathematics, computer science, and information security, along with potential solutions. They also shared their personal journeys into science and explained what competencies and personal qualities are essential for becoming a researcher.
Representatives of the university provided career guidance for graduating students and gave detailed information about academic programs, social benefits, academic mobility, and partnerships with international universities.
At the end of the seminar, the school staff and students asked questions of interest and received comprehensive answers from the invited scientists. The seminar took place in a meaningful, open dialogue format.
The school principal, Gulmira Oralkyzy Oralbekova, expressed sincere gratitude to the guests for attending and stated her intent to continue collaborative work in the field of science. Special acknowledgment was given to the organizer of the event, English teacher Zhanar Baltabaykyzy Sembiyeva, for her significant contribution.
