Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Control
The Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Control was created in 1962. and was called “Automation and integrated mechanization of chemical and technological processes.” The first head was Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Kim Len Zu Valery Andreevich, then the department was headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor V.P. Morozov. In subsequent years, the department was headed by Makazhanov B.T., Ospanova A.O., Esenov E.K., Avdeev V.G., Inkov A.M., Tapalov T.T., Ismailov S.U. Currently, the head of the department is Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Musabekov Akhmetbek Akhilbekovich.
The teaching staff of the department consists of 25 people, including 2 doctors of science, professors, 10 candidates of science, associate professors and 8 master's students. The department provides training:
• bachelors in educational programs: 6B07110 – “Automation and Control” and 6B06210 – “Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications”;
• masters in the educational program 7M07110 - “Automation and Control”.
In 2021, the department opened doctoral studies in the educational program 8D07110 - “Automation, control and digital data processing systems.”
Today, the Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Control is one of the successfully developing departments at the university. The department has a network of specialized educational and scientific laboratories equipped with computers and equipment from well-known companies Siemens and Festo, an IT center laboratory, which are used in the educational process and research work of students and undergraduates.
Among the graduates of the department in different years were the rectors of universities: Sabden O.S., Akhmetov I.S., Yesenov E.K. and Kozybakov M.Zh. The first heads of enterprises and factories were: Suvorov A.S., Klimenko A.I., Akkuzov M.K., Eshenkulov K.T., chief metrologists and instrument technicians: Zubko A.R., Elisanov A.A., Bocharov V. .I., Cherepanov A.Ya., Doctor of Technical Sciences have worked and are working in the field of higher education. Plyatsuk L.D., Doctor of Technical Sciences Eskendirov Sh.Z, Doctor of Technical Sciences Ospanova A.O., Doctor of Technical Sciences Hu Wen Tseng, Ph.D. Musabekova L.M.
The acquired knowledge in the modern promising direction of automation has made it possible for many graduates to find employment and work successfully in banking structures, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Committee, defense enterprises, radio and television, etc.
An innovative element of the educational process at the department is the training of students in dual education on the basis of such leading enterprises in the region as RCOR LLP, Kazakhtelecom JSC, Svyazmontazhstroy LLP, KazTransOil JSC.
Academic mobility in previous years was carried out with Vilnius Technical University (Lithuania), Seoul Technical University (Republic of Korea), Lublin Technical University (Poland). In academic mobility, the department is currently attended by student Madaliuly K. at the Chemnitz University of Technology (Germany).
The Department of "ATiU" actively cooperates with many universities and research institutes, such as: AUPET im. Daukeeev, ENU named after. Gumilyov, MSTU named after. Bauman, (Russia); Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, (Russia); Institute of Physics and Technology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan); Heilbronn University of Applied Science, (Germany); Yunnan Normal University, Kunming, (China).
